Mr Olufowose holds a first class honours Economics degree of the University of Lagos and an MA Degree in International Economics of the University of Sussex, Brighton, England. He commenced his career at NAL Merchant Bank in 1985 and has handled several landmark capital raising and advisory mandates.
He was Executive Director at Access Bank Plc from 2007 to November 2013. Prior to this, he was Director with Citigroup where he led Citigroup’s origination, structuring and execution of corporate finance deals in Nigeria from 2002 to 2007. He was also an Executive Director with Citibank Nigeria.
In the late 80s and early 90s, he was actively involved in the Federal Government Privatisation programme as well as various capital raise for multinationals including Guinness and Unilever. He was also involved in the Access Bank’s USD500million Eurobond listed on the London Stock Exchange, and the acquisition of Intercontinental Bank Limited, which transformed Access Bank from a tier 2 bank to a tier 1 bank among other transactions.
